i think we relate to people more than we think. i think we have more in common than not. we all feel pain. we all feel happiness. we all feel joy. we all feel sadness. if we dig a little bit, we might realize that we have more in common with the common man than not.
hindoyouknowwhatimean
so im enjoying my religious studies class so far, its pretty interesting. right now we’re learning about the hindu religion, and i must say, so far i’m really impressed. i feel like i can relate a lot to the religion. on thing they believe is in a concept called brahman. i was listening to my lecturer explain brahman, and i was intrigued. i was really getting into it when she explained...
Bayside
I’ve been in love with the band Bayside for some time now, but I thought they finally deserved a post dedicated to them from me. Bayside is a band I really gave a good listen to for the first time my freshman year here. I had their music on my ipod for a while but didn’t really listen to them/thought they were a bit boring/didn’t really give them a good chance. But their...
braindead
I’ve noticed lately a decrease in my near-always in depth inner thoughts. While I used to think them a bit of a burden, I kind of miss them. I don’t usually like to force it, but I think until they come back, I’ll just try to write about my day and hope that inspiration comes back.
Also, I’m going to invest in another dry erase board, because those things used to be my...

digging for the roots
I’ve been doing some digging into my past, for a few reasons. One, I’m interested to know what kind of people I’ve come from. I am the product of years and years of struggles and survival, I respect my roots and want to learn more. Secondly, I have been thinking about another tattoo idea possibly. Nothing I’m going to rush into, but if it falls in to place, it falls in to...
indie pendant
getting back to champaign to a quiet apartment really made me realize how much i value my independence. i love being able to do whatever, whenever. don’t get me wrong, i love my friends and family, but as i get older i realize how independent i am (or maybe just feel).
i spent the last 4 days living on bryan’s couch, which was pretty fun. lazy, relaxing days followed by pretty crazy...
(sp)?ontenaiety
Saturday night Julie called me up and asked if I wanted to fly to Orlando the next day. Needless to say I was shocked and humbled, but the answer soon became OF COURSE. I quickly packed my bags and was ready to leave the next day.
The catch-22 about flying is that I like airports but I get really nervous on airplanes. Before a flight is one of the few times I will actually pray. But there is one...
Good New (to me) Music
In my boredom, I’ve been on a quest for a few things. One being guitar hero for next to nothing (I’m halfway there, I got two guitars for 20 bucks last night), and the other is some new legit music, namely some hip/hop rap. Here’s a list of some of the best songs I’ve found so far, in rap and other genres as well.
Playaz Circle w/ Lil Wayne - Duffel Bag Boy Playaz Circle -...
Thought I’d show what I’ve been up to. It was really hard to juggle in the basement, I put way too much against me. The jeans are too long, the carpet was squishy, and the wall was annoying.
what is it about new years eve that makes us think of those that arent there to bring it in with us? i think much like birthdays, the welcoming of a new year is another reminder that we are not immortal. people will make resolutions, and then forget about them. life will continue much the same as it did the previous year. because really, its just another day. but a new year, to me, is a chance to...
